Thorpe-Gilpin

Ms. Christine Thorpe-Gilpin joined the Calvary team of providers in early 2024, bringing with her over 14 years of education, training, and experience.

Ms. Thorpe-Gilpin began her medical career as an RN at Cornwall Regional Hospital. She worked tirelessly for the next 10+ years, gaining valuable experience in areas such as Pediatrics with disabilities, LTAC, ICU, NICU, MICU, CICU, CVICU, IMU, wound care & pressure ulcers, home health care, neurology, life support, and many other areas of acute and chronic care medicine.

She is certified in many areas, including NIH, BLS, Advanced CLS, Nursing Preceptor, and Critical Care. She obtained her Master of Science in Nursing in 2021 and her doctorate degree in February 2024.

Ms. Thorpe-Gilpin holds numerous honors and awards listed below: Daisy Award nominee x 2, Nursing Excellence Award nominee, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society award, National Society of Leadership & Success award, The Golden Key award, and Today’s Nurse- Outstanding Top Nurse in Houston, Texas. Her professional affiliations are as follows: Nurses Association of Jamaica, American Association of Critical Care Nurses, Iota Eta Chi Eta Phi Incorporation Nursing Sorority, and American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
